Some little girls leave footprints on the world that last far beyond their years. Kylenne Alana White was one of those little girls.
Kylenne was full of personality, laughter, and joy. She loved to sing, dance, and dress up. Her favorite movies included Moana, Lilo & Stitch, and Sing. She especially loved daddy-daughter tea parties.
A social butterfly just like her mom, Kylenne had a laugh that could light up a room. She loved having her hair done, enjoyed dressing to impress, and wasn't afraid to let you know exactly what she wanted. Her family remembers the unmistakable joy in her eyes and the beautiful spirit she carried.
In February 2018, when Kylenne was just two years old, her family began noticing weakness in her left arm. Their naturally left-handed little girl started switching crayons, toys, and food from her left hand to her right.
After initial X-rays revealed nothing, an MRI in April discovered a tumor in the cervical portion of her spine. Although the tumor was initially believed to be benign, further testing following a second opinion revealed high-grade sarcoma.
Kylenne underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and proton therapy. In October 2018, her family celebrated an incredible milestone when she rang the gong, marking the completion of treatment and the news that she was cancer-free.
Sadly, in December, her family learned that the sarcoma had returned and spread to other portions of her spine.
Despite everything, Kylenne continued to bring joy to those around her. Her family celebrated her fourth birthday at home on December 20, followed by a very special Christmas together.
In the early morning hours of January 11, 2019, Kylenne passed away, leaving behind a lifetime of love and precious memories.
She is lovingly remembered by her family, including her younger brother, Kyle II, and younger sister, Anessa.
When asked what they wanted the world to remember most about Kylenne, her family shared:
"We want people to remember her smile. Everything she went through she still found something to smile about."
And that is exactly how we will remember her.
Not simply for the battles she faced, but for the beautiful little girl who loved to dance, who enjoyed tea parties with her daddy, who knew what she wanted, and whose smile continued to shine through it all.
Through Lavi's Angels, we are honored to celebrate Kylenne's life, share her story, and help ensure that her memory continues to touch hearts.
Forever an Angel. Forever Kylenne. 💜🦋
